13 feb 2015

Ran Pole Creek, Aspen, Dilly Dally(?) and Blackjack this morning.  A little softer than Wednesday, but still slick in spots...  although fine with YakTrax + trail shoes.  Aspen is well-packed but soft on the edges.  Several bare spots throughout.

11 Feb 2015

Ran Tie City -> Snowshoe -> Pole Creek -> Middle Aspen -> Blackjack this morning.  Conditions ranged from crunchy (read:  traction) to very slick.  Pole Creek between Happy Jack and the old campground, and the lower big hill on middle Aspen were the worst spots.

Hard packed and very run-able

I had a nice pre-dawn run this morning (Thursday, Jan 8) down PoleCreek, up Middle Aspen and back on Black Jack. All trails were hard packed with just a few soft spots due to the warm temperatures. It looks like the trails have been getting a lot of use since the last snow.

Happy Jack Winter Multi-Use Trails Report

Welcome to the Happy Jack Winter Multi-Use Trails Report! The main purpose is to provide updates from the trails: trail conditions (packed snow, unpacked, ice, mud, downed trees, etc.) and other observations for individuals who use the winter multi-use trails at Happy Jack. You can find links to the map and atmospheric conditions at Happy Jack here as well.

In the coming weeks, we hope to enlist the help of a few individuals whom frequent the trails to contribute to this endeavor.
